The Broadneck Bruins came tearing into Tuesday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 51-24 victory over North County on the road. Broadneck has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 26 points or more this season.
It was another big night for London Best, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ginger Kerdock, who scored seven points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Broadneck's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for North County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Broadneck will look to defend their home court on Friday against Old Mill at 5:00 p.m. Old Mill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 181st, while Broadneck is ranked 27th). As for North County, they will square off against Severn School at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
