Everything went their way against the Butler Bulldogs on Friday as they made off with a 44-22 win. The Mavericks haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Mallard Creek found their leader in sophomore Xavier Edmond, who rushed for 163 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. Those 163 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Edmond. Another player making a difference was Cailen Napier, who threw for 285 yards and one touchdown while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt.
Mallard Creek was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
