2A District 2 recap Oct. 30, 2012
Owensboro Catholic extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 2 this week by beating North Hardin, 31-13. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Hancock County took down Breckinridge County 57-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Justin Hamilton threw for 12 yards and ran for 168 yards in the win.
The Hornets' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver.
Beau Case was the best wideout in the league this week as Hancock County beat the Fighting Tigers. Case tallied one reception for 12 yards.
Hancock County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Koert Morris has thrown for 959 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Hamilton has 19 catches for 268 yards. Hamilton leads the league in rushing with 1351 yards.
Butler County and Edmonson County played the most hotly contested game in 2A District 2 this week, with Butler County eventually emerging with a 26-21 victory.
