Volleyball Recap: Morley Stanwood Snags 21st Win in Last 27 Games

Fremont typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Morley Stanwood proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Packers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on October 9th.

Morley Stanwood not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fremont between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19.

Alexis Martin paced Morley Stanwood's offense, picking up seven kills. Martin got some help from Aivree Christensen and her 18 assists. Christensen also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lila Prescott, each putting up two.

Morley Stanwood is on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 27 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-12 record this season. As for Fremont, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 33-11 record.

Coincidentally, Morley Stanwood and Fremont will both be playing Hart the next time they take the court. The Mohawks will head out to face the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Packers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
