Saugerties relied on the efforts of Mccoy Rothe, who posted 23 points and three steals, and Jack Parisio, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Rothe's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahmia Snyder, who put up five points.

Meanwhile, New Paltz was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 67-61 to Red Hook. The loss was the Huguenots' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, New Paltz fell to 2-1. As for Saugerties, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
