Penns Valley Area has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Huntingdon Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Penns Valley Area focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Penns Valley Area came up short against Central and fell 59-46.
Despite the loss, Penns Valley Area saw an underclassman step up: Ellie Romig scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for her. Kayla Hopkins was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-25, which was the final score in Huntingdon's tilt against Bellwood-Antis on Wednesday. Huntingdon has not had much luck with Bellwood-Antis recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Penns Valley Area now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Huntingdon, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-2.
Penns Valley Area came up short against Huntingdon in their previous matchup back in February, falling 57-50. Can Penns Valley Area avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
