Campolindo is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They skirted past Sacred Heart Prep 3-2.
Campolindo had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-14, 15-12.
Evey Uziel was the offensive standout of the match as she had three digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Campolindo was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive contests.
Buchanan extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Penny Garcia. The Bears blew past Homestead 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Garcia, who had nine digs and two aces. She has been hot, having also posted 15 or more assists the last five times she's played.
While Buchanan won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-21, 25-22.
Campolindo's record is now 27-8. As for Buchanan, their record now sits at 36-8.
