With a playoff win on the line, Crimson Cliffs rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 48-27 margin over the Timpanogos Timberwolves. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Van Dailey had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 245 yards and three TDs while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August. Crimson Cliffs also got a significant boost from Kade Shaw, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 106 yards.
Despite the loss, Timpanogos still got an impressive performance from Kyle Lapray, who picked up 164 receiving yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Andrew Hillstead, who threw for 215 yards and a pair of TDs.
Crimson Cliffs' record now sits at 9-1. As for Timpanogos, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Looking ahead, Crimson Cliffs will take on Stansbury at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Stallions have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. Timpanogos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
