The power rankings have experienced a modest tune-up after last week's playoff battles. A special shoutout goes to Bozeman's senior Kris Brown, who scored five total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
Can't Touch This
Billings West's 42 - 0 win over Billings Senior last week had a lot to do with the leadership of junior Demarcus Carr. Carr ran for 243 yards and also punched in four touchdowns. That performance landed Carr among the top power-ranked players for the week.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
It was another game, another high-octane performance for Bozeman last week (their 10th in a row). The final score between it and Skyview was a 69 - 20 blowout in Bozeman's favor. Bozeman's margin of victory (49 points) marked the biggest win the team has had all season. With ten consecutive wins, Bozeman boasts the longest winning streak of any team in the rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Roundup/Melstone (9th in the power rankings) and Bigfork (4th). The teams have their eyes fixed on the championship after last-week playoff conquests. Both Bigfork and Roundup/Melstone are bound to feel confident after their prior matchups, but one team's ego will take a hit. We'll find out which one when the teams meet up this week.
