The Lafayette Christian Cougars came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Shiloh Hills Christian with points to spare, taking the game 47-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lafayette Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Carmen Bridges continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lafayette Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Reagan Bryant, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Lafayette Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Shiloh Hills Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette Christian and Flint River Academy will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Flint River Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Shiloh Hills Christian, they will be playing at home against Dominion Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
