There's no place like home for the Ceres Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against Los Banos by a score of 64-55 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ceres' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carey Mastin, who scored 21 points along with six assists and two steals. Mastin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Manuel Ortega was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.
Ceres has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Los Banos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.
