Grand Junction Central was forced to take a big defeat against Durango on Friday, they got the better of them on Saturday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 16-10 victory. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Dayton Timbreza was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. He has become a key player for Grand Junction Central: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Braydan Hartman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Grand Junction Central now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Durango, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.
