Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Camden walked away with it. They breezed past the Manasquan Warriors to the tune of 46-6 on Friday. Considering the Panthers have won four contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ahmad Jones had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 313 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75.9% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in each of the last three games he's played. Camden's leading receiver Ibn Muhammad was Jones' top target yet again, picking up 103 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Camden's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Haleem Muhammad refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Na'Eem Grays got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Camden has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.0 points over those games. As for Manasquan, they moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
Coincidentally, Camden and Manasquan will both be playing Wall Township the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Crimson Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
