After losing to the St. Mary's Gaels the last time they met, the Spring-Ford Rams decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. It was close, but on SaturdaySpring-Ford capped 2023 with a 47-45 win over St. Mary's. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Spring-Ford.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spring-Ford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Katie Tiffan, who scored 11 points. Tiffan continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kareena Preuss, who scored ten points.
Spring-Ford's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for St. Mary's, they have fallen quite a ways from their 8-2 record last season and are now at 2-4.
Spring-Ford will be playing at home against Boyertown at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Boyertown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while Spring-Ford is ranked 19th). St. Mary's will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Holy Trinity at 5:45 p.m. on January 12th.
