Riverside and Loudoun County are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. Riverside will square off against Loudoun County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Riverside proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Riverbend.

Gabby Cinnamon was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Ashley Bui also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Loudoun County and Freedom, and Loudoun County kept the tradition alive. Loudoun County was the clear victor by a 13-4 margin over Freedom on Friday. The Captains haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Keira Bertoglio made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Bertoglio was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Loudoun County got a massive performance out of Olivia Miller, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Olivia Eastlake, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Loudoun County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Freedom only posted a batting average of .185.
Loudoun County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Riverside, their record is now 3-1.
Riverside came out on top in a nail-biter against Loudoun County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverside since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
