The Arthur County Wolves were the 39-37 winner over the Brady Eagles when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Arthur County fell to Brady 38-34.
Despite the loss, Arthur County still got an impressive performance from Jaedin Johns, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. That was a full 35.3% of Arthur County's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Laynee Ohm was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, Arthur County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brady only pulled down six offensive rebounds.
Brady was led to victory by Keaton Fattig and Payton Stienike. Fattig scored eight points along with five assists and two steals, while Stienike scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stienike has scored all season.
Arthur County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Brady, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arthur County will challenge Mullen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mullen is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Brady, they will head out on the road to face off against Maxwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
