The Zion Chapel Rebels won against the Wicksburg Panthers on Saturday with 68 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Zion Chapel was the clear victor by a 68-47 margin over Wicksburg. The win was familiar territory for Zion Chapel who now have three in a row.
Zion Chapel had a senior duo take command as Jacob Chestnut scored 30 points and Slade Grantham scored 20 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Grantham has scored at least 25% of Zion Chapel's points. Another player making a difference was Brodie Stinson, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Zion Chapel pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Wicksburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
Zion Chapel will head out on the road to face off against Luverne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wicksburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cottonwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
