Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Acadiana Christian). They put the hurt on Faith Training Christian Academy with a sharp 25-9 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Lane Parks was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Isaiah Burch was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Mason Broome was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Acadiana Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .744. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
