After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greater Johnstown, the Bishop Carroll Huskies were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 73-35 win over Meyersdale. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-17.
Bishop Carroll was led to victory by Jace Casses and Luke Repko. Casses scored 24 points along with five steals, while Repko scored 23 points along with nine steals. The contest was Casses' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Will Tremel was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Bishop Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Meyersdale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Carroll will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Ligonier Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Meyersdale won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rockwood at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Rockwood comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
