The Seton Catholic Sentinels entered their tilt with the Saguaro Sabercats with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Seton Catholic walked away with a 58-46 win over Saguaro on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Seton Catholic, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Julian Garcia was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Padilla, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Saguaro lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being O?shea Bonner, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Trae Kaye, who scored six points.
Seton Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Saguaro, they bumped their record down to 5-10 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Seton Catholic will challenge Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saguaro, they will be playing at home against Arcadia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
