St. Charles West had a rough outing against St. Dominic last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. St. Charles West captured a comfortable 30-14 win over Hillsboro.
St. Charles West's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 20 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Hillsboro couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 20-0 heading into the break. St. Charles West were outperformed in the second half 10-14 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the game. The contest pushed Hillsboro down to 1-0 and pulled St. Charles West up to the reverse 0-1.
Next week, St. Charles West take on Fort Zumwalt East at 7:00 PM. Hillsboro will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Farmington at 7:00 PM.
