The Frontier Titans lost to the Garces Memorial Rams back in January, but the Frontier Titans didn't allow the Garces Memorial Rams the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Frontier came out on top against the Rams by a score of 63-53. The win made it back-to-back wins for Frontier.
Zach Garnett was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Peyton Beltran, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Frontier has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Garces Memorial, they dropped their record down to 13-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Frontier will take on the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Stockdale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 536th, while the Titans are ranked 253rd). As for Garces Memorial, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Bakersfield Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully the Rams like a good challenge.
