The Burns Broncs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 16th straight loss. They took a 49-30 bruising from Sundance. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Burns of the 48-39 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 6th.
When it comes to explaining why Burns lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mason Medley. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Medley has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played.
Burns' loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Sundance, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Burns will head out on the road to take on Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sundance, they will be playing at home against Tongue River at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
