The New Community School Sabers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-51 walloping at the hands of Guardian Christian Academy. The New Community School was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Guardian Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Guardian Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tierre Brown, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Guardian Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Aaron Kuhn, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
The New Community School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Guardian Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
The New Community School will be home for the holidays to greet Tidewater Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Guardian Christian Academy and Williamsburg Christian Academy will face off at 8:00 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
