The Eastlake Titans will take on the Brawley Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Eastlake picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over West Hills. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.
Camila Castillo looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mackenzie Olshenskie was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bri Ayap, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Eastlake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Brawley had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Central on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Daniella Yescas was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Yescas was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Brawley let Isabella Yescas and Demi Cornejo run wild. Yescas scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Cornejo went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Roslyn Rubio, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Eastlake's record now sits at 10-4-1. As for Brawley, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-12.
Eastlake took their win against Brawley in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 13-6 score. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
