Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for North White, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-38 loss to North Newton.
Despite the defeat, North White got a solid performance out of Dane Hood, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Winamac's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 66-59 to Logansport. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Winamac in their matchups with Logansport: they've now lost nine in a row.
John Malchow put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 24 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Brendan Hines, who scored nine points along with six assists.
Even though they lost, Winamac were working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Logansport only racked up 12 assists.
North White has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Winamac, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
