The King's Academy Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season. They breezed by San Lorenzo at home to the tune of 79-48. Given King's Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while San Lorenzo is ranked 833rd), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
King's Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caedmon Dickson out in front who scored 16 points. The game was Dickson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Sherman, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
King's Academy has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for San Lorenzo, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-9.
King's Academy and Priory will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Priory and King's Academy are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. San Lorenzo is on the road again on Friday and play against Mt. Eden at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
