The MacArthur Cardinals will face off against the Richardson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. MacArthur will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
MacArthur's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Irving with a sharp 13-0 win.
Aaron Saenz was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.
In other pitching news, Harper Goff looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because MacArthur is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 9-10-3 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Richardson hadn't done well against Lake Highlands recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Wildcats. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Cal Attel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Richardson's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Marcus Bond, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
MacArthur's win bumped their record up to 15-10-3. As for Richardson, their victory bumped their record up to 17-7-2.
