The Triton Hawks lost against the Overhills Jaguars back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Triton lost to Overhills on the road by a decisive 59-44 margin. Triton has not had much luck with Overhills recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Triton still got an impressive performance from Romello Pegues, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Ahmad Morris, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Overhills, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Harnett Central the next time they take the court. Overhills will host Harnett Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Triton will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
