The Telfair County Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Bleckley County Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Telfair County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Telfair County suffered a tough 57-33 defeat at the hands of the Patriots. Telfair County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-9.
Despite their loss, Telfair County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Zah'Mya McDuffie, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of all. McDuffie is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Hennessy Livingston was another key contributor, scoring three points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Bleckley County over the Falcons in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Bleckley County came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 46-34. Winning may never get old, but Bleckley County sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Telfair County has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Bleckley County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Telfair County came up short against the Royals in their previous meeting back in January, falling 57-50. Can Telfair County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
