The South Platte Blue Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Sutherland for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-36 victory on the road. That 63-36 margin sets a new team best for South Platte this season.
South Platte's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quinten Koenen led the charge by scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Cavin Lanman, who scored 11 points along with eight steals.
South Platte pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Sutherland, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
South Platte is on the road again on Thursday and play against Wallace at 5:00 p.m. on December 21st. Sutherland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sandhills/Thedford on January 5, 2024.
