The Orosi Cardinals lost against the Corcoran Panthers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Orosi was outmatched by Corcoran on the road and fell 85-54. Orosi has not had much luck with Corcoran recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Corcoran got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Javon Bragg out in front who scored 21 points. The contest was Bragg's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Fernandez, who scored 19 points.
Orosi bumped their record down to 9-7 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Corcoran, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
Orosi will be playing in front of their home fans against Granite Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Granite Hills is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Corcoran, they will head out on the road to face off against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
