Aloha extended the longest winning streak in 6A Metro this week by beating Grant, 24-16. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Sunset suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after falling to Lincoln. The Apollos had been ranked 14th, but fell to 28.
Beaverton's Kyle Eckrosh and Davasyia Hagger have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Eckrosh has thrown for 776 yards this season, while Hagger, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 21 catches for 385 yards. Aloha's Thomas Tyner leads the league in rushing yards with 1968.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Chris Casey's team and Jesuit. The Warriors enters the game ranked fifth in the state, while the Crusaders ranks fourth.
Two of the top units in 6A Metro will face off this week when Aloha takes on Jesuit. The Warriors' offense has scored 270 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Ken Potter's team has allowed only 118 on the year.
The Beavers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,206 from 4,083. The advance stemmed from a 21-12 victory over Westview last week.
