The Keenan Raiders entered their tilt with the Eau Claire Shamrocks with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Keenan snuck past Eau Claire with a 47-43 win on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Keenan also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Keenan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taelor Lee-sutton, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and six assists. That's the first time this season that Lee-sutton pulled down eight or more rebounds. Samiyah Hicks was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Eau Claire still got an impressive performance from Destinee Tiller, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Tiller has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Milaysha Chisholm, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Keenan has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Eau Claire, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Keenan will be playing at home against Eau Claire at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eau Claire, they will face off against Ridgeland-Hardeeville at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Ridgeland-Hardeeville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 back in December of 2023.
