The West Milford Highlanders''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 34-21 to Wayne Hills. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Milford in their matchups with Wayne Hills: they've now lost three in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wayne Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mike Fitzsimons, who threw for 249 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes. Jack Monisera also helped out with an impressive 122 receiving yards.
West Milford's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for Wayne Hills, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.
West Milford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wayne Hills also has no future games currently scheduled.
