Seminole Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Westwood 3-0.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-8, 25-20.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Martin County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Jensen Beach by a score of 3-2. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 25-21 in the first set.
Martin County started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-13, 15-4.
Seminole Ridge will have to contain Shelby Stone as she made an impact in Martin County's last game. She had 23 digs and five assists. Stone is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Seminole Ridge's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-14. As for Martin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.
