After five games on the road, Union Grove Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Woodland Baptist Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Union Grove Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Gospel Light Christian, but they still walked away with a 50-46 win. The victory was just what Union Grove Christian needed coming off of a 82-37 defeat in their prior matchup.
Colin Wykes was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Ben Johnson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Woodland Baptist Christian waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 63-48 victory over Cramerton Christian Academy.
Union Grove Christian's victory bumped their record up to 25-7. As for Woodland Baptist Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.
