There's no place like home for Edgerton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Fremont Eagles 13-3 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Corinne Cape was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). In other batting news, Edgerton got a massive performance out of Ava Giesige, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs Giesige has posted since back in April. Edgerton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fremont, they will square off against Garrett at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Railroaders' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
