The Landon Bears suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 76-43 loss at the hands of Bullis. While losing is never fun, Landon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Bullis is ranked fifth).
Landon's loss came despite strong showings from Francis Mannino and Aristeides John Hobson. Mannino scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while John Hobson scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Mannino has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played.
Landon's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for Bullis, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Landon will head out on the road to square off against St. Albans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bullis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
