The Quakertown Panthers were the 42-32 winner over the Lower Moreland Lions when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Quakertown was outmatched by Lower Moreland on the road and fell 57-19. Quakertown was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-4.
Ava Pistone was Quakertown's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Lower Moreland found their leader in underclassman Sydney Santora, who scored nine points along with five steals. Santora hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Dani Brusha, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Quakertown bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lower Moreland, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Quakertown and Kennett will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Lower Moreland will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hatboro-Horsham at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
