After a string of three wins, the Stillwater Christian Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-42 loss at the hands of Bonners Ferry. Stillwater Christian has not had much luck with Bonners Ferry recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, Stillwater Christian saw an underclassman step up: Micah Strobel scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Strobel scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Drish, who scored five points.
Stillwater Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Bonners Ferry, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Stillwater Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bonners Ferry will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
