The Community Christian Academy Warriors suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 66-42 walloping at the hands of Nebo Crossing Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Community Christian Academy in their matchups with Nebo Crossing Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nebo Crossing Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Morgan Baker, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. Baker is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaac Grubbs, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Community Christian Academy bumped their record down to 6-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Nebo Crossing Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Community Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on The Master's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for Nebo Crossing Academy, they will square off against Tournament Opponent at 9:40 a.m. on Thursday.
