After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Silver Lake, the Jefferson West Tigers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Royal Valley with a sharp 42-22 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jefferson West also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Jefferson West got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Verlee Sanders out in front who scored 7 points along with 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joslynn Sutton, who scored 12 points.
The victory got Jefferson West back to even at 1-1. As for Royal Valley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Jefferson West will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Royal Valley will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Sabetha at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
