They were just one part of a punishing run game: Williams was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 173 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Western Alamance took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 34-6 victory over Cummings. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Western Alamance's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Carson White was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Williams' record now sits at 7-1. As for Western Alamance, their record is now an identical 7-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Williams has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 239.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Western Alamance struggles in that department as they've been averaging 198.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Williams against Western Alamance in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-21 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Warriors' James Newton, who rushed for 76 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards.
