Flagler has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Idalia Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Flagler suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Byers by a score of 41-39. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Flagler in their matchups with Byers: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite their defeat, Flagler saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jaylie Stone, who scored ten points along with five steals, was perhaps the best of all. Stone hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Belle Schier, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Idalia's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. Their tough 47-24 defeat to Eads might stick with them for a while. Having soared to a lofty 64 points in the game before, Idalia couldn't push the score so high this time.

Flagler came up short against Idalia in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 58-45. Can Flagler avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
