Highland walked away with a 69-57 victory over Mountain Ridge on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Highland found their leader in underclassman Isaiah Drisdom, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and three steals. The match was Drisdom's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Grayson Gaddis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Several Sentinels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Will Lindsay, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was Lindsay's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Krainich, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Highland has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Mountain Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Highland and Olympus will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mountain Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wasatch at 5:30 p.m. on December 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Wasatch is ranked 41st, while Mountain Ridge is ranked 57th).
