The Littleton Lions will be playing at home against the Englewood Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Littleton suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 64-43 walloping at the hands of Golden. Littleton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-17.
Littleton's loss came about despite a quality game from Treyton Fletcher, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds.
Littleton struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Englewood took a serious blow against DSST: Montview on Thursday, falling 75-46. While losing is never fun, Englewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while DSST: Montview is ranked 28th).
Littleton's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Englewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
Littleton and Englewood were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but Littleton came up empty-handed after a 44-43 loss. Thankfully for Littleton, Kingston Jones (who scored 18 points along with six steals and five assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
