The Riverdale Falcons will face off against the Seneca East Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Seneca East took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverdale, who comes in off a win.
Riverdale had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Upper Scioto Valley on Thursday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Rams. The game marked the Falcons' most dominant win of the season so far.

Jackson Armrose made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grady Phelps, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Tate Weber, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Riverdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Seneca East came up short against Edison on Thursday and fell 7-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Braydon Robinson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double. Seneca East is 3-1 when Robinson posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Nicolas Parks was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Seneca East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Riverdale, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Riverdale took their win against Seneca East when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
