After flying high against Cleveland Central last Tuesday, Lake Cormorant came back down to earth. Lake Cormorant was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 62-61 to the Hernando Tigers. Lake Cormorant's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Lake Cormorant's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Hernando, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lake Cormorant will head out to face off against South Panola at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Cormorant will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hernando, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Center Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
