Washington Leadership Academy had to endure a 12-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 77-49 victory over BASIS at home. With that win, Washington Leadership Academy brought their scoring average up to 55 points per game.
Washington Leadership Academy's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Bryant, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kemonte Coleman, who scored 16 points.
Washington Leadership Academy's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1. As for BASIS, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington Leadership Academy will take on Capital City Public Charter School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. BASIS will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Idea at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
